Description
This simple yet flavorful dish combines the sweet and savory goodness of brown sugar and garlic with tender, juicy chicken breasts. Perfect for a quick and satisfying dinner!
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- 4 tbsp brown sugar
- 3 tsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 500°F (260°C) and lightly grease a casserole dish with non-stick spray or a small amount of oil.
2️⃣ Sauté the Garlic
Heat olive oil in a small sauté pan over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and cook until tender and fragrant (about 1–2 minutes).
Remove the pan from heat and stir in the brown sugar until fully combined.
3️⃣ Prepare the Chicken
Arrange the chicken breasts in the greased casserole dish in a single layer.
Spoon the garlic and brown sugar mixture evenly over the chicken, ensuring each piece is coated.
Season the chicken with salt and pepper to taste.
4️⃣ Bake
Bake the chicken uncovered in the preheated oven for 15–30 minutes, depending on the thickness of the chicken breasts. Use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
5️⃣ Serve
Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute. Serve with your favorite sides, such as roasted vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad.
Notes
- Adjust Baking Time: If using thin chicken breasts, check for doneness after 15–20 minutes to prevent overcooking.
- Flavor Enhancements: Add a pinch of paprika or cayenne pepper for a smoky or spicy twist.
- Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave until warmed through.
