  • Author: Munil

Description

This Beef Pizza Pie combines the flavors of a classic pizza with a hearty, savory ground beef filling, all baked in a crescent roll crust. It’s an easy and fun way to enjoy pizza night with a twist, perfect for family dinners or casual gatherings!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell peppers

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish.

2️⃣ Cook the Beef:

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent. Drain any excess fat.

3️⃣ Season the Beef:

  • Stir in the pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.

4️⃣ Prepare the Crescent Roll Crust:

  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and press it into the greased pie dish, covering the bottom and pressing up the sides to form a crust.

5️⃣ Assemble the Pie:

  • Spoon the seasoned beef mixture into the prepared crescent roll crust, spreading it evenly.
  • Top with shredded mozzarella cheese, followed by sliced pepperoni, black olives, and chopped bell peppers.

6️⃣ Bake:

  • Bake the beef pizza pie in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the crescent roll crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

7️⃣ Serve:

  • Allow the pie to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Crescent Roll Crust Tip: Be sure to press the crescent roll dough firmly into the pie dish to avoid gaps in the crust. If using a deep-dish pie pan, you might need an extra roll of dough to cover the sides completely.
  • Custom Toppings: Feel free to customize the toppings as you would with a regular pizza. Add mushrooms, jalapeños, or swap the pepperoni for sausage or cooked bacon.
  • Cheese Options: While mozzarella is a classic choice, you can also use a combination of cheeses like provolone, cheddar, or even a pizza blend for extra flavor.
  • Sauce Swap: If you prefer a white pizza, replace the red pizza sauce with a creamy Alfredo sauce or garlic butter base.
  • Make Ahead: You can prepare the beef filling ahead of time and refrigerate it until you’re ready to assemble and bake the pie, making this a quick option for busy nights.
  • Storage: Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven to maintain the crispness of the crescent roll crust.
