Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
3 cups cabbage, chopped
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 cup cooked rice
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup beef broth
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
Brown ground beef with onion over medium heat until cooked through. Drain excess fat. Stir in garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Layer half of the cabbage in the baking dish. Add beef mixture, then sprinkle with rice. Pour diced tomatoes over rice.
Top with remaining cabbage and pour beef broth over the dish.
Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil, sprinkle with cheese, and bake uncovered for another 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
