Ingredients
For the Filling
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp mustard
For Assembly
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1/2 cup creamy cheese sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
1️⃣ Cook the beef: Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart into small crumbles as it cooks.
2️⃣ Add aromatics: Add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef. Cook for about 2 minutes, or until the onion is softened and fragrant.
3️⃣ Season the mixture: Sprinkle the smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper over the beef mixture. Stir well to evenly distribute the spices.
4️⃣ Create the savory sauce: Add ketchup, mayonnaise, and mustard to the skillet. Stir thoroughly until the sauce is well combined with the beef mixture. Let it simmer for 1–2 minutes.
5️⃣ Prepare the tortillas: Warm the flour tortillas in the microwave or on a skillet for a few seconds to make them pliable. Sprinkle a generous layer of shredded cheddar cheese in the center of each tortilla.
6️⃣ Assemble the wraps: Spoon the seasoned beef mixture onto the cheese layer in each tortilla. Roll the tortillas tightly like a burrito, tucking in the edges as you wrap.
7️⃣ Drizzle with cheese sauce: Place the wrapped tortillas on a plate and drizzle generously with creamy cheese sauce.
8️⃣ Serve and enjoy: Serve immediately while the wraps are warm and the cheese is gooey. Add a side of salad, fries, or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
Notes
- Customizations: Add toppings like diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, or jalapeños for extra flavor and texture.
- Cheese sauce options: Use nacho cheese sauce for a spicy kick or classic cheese sauce for a milder flavor.
- Storage: Store leftover beef mixture in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat before assembling wraps.
