4 large burrito-size flour tortillas
4 tostada shells or crispy corn tortillas
1 pound ground beef
1 packet (1 oz.) taco seasoning mix
1 cup nacho cheese or shredded Mexican cheese blend
1 cup sour cream
2 cups shredded lettuce
1 cup diced tomatoes
1 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend
Vegetable oil for frying (optional)


Instructions

  1. Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it apart with a spatula until fully browned. Drain excess grease.
  2. Stir in the taco seasoning mix according to package instructions, usually adding a bit of water and simmering until thickened.
  3. Lay out the large flour tortillas on a clean surface. Divide the seasoned beef evenly among the tortillas, leaving space around the edges for folding.
  4. Drizzle nacho cheese or sprinkle shredded cheese over the beef on each tortilla.
  5. Place a tostada shell on top of the cheese layer for each. Spread sour cream over the tostada shells, then top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and additional shredded cheese.
  6. Fold the Crunchwrap by starting at the bottom of the tortilla, folding the edge up over the center. Continue folding tightly around the tortilla.
  7. Heat a skillet over medium heat. For a crispy finish, brush the outside of the wraps with vegetable oil. Cook the wrap folded-side down for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden and heated through.
