Instructions
️⃣ Preheat oven: Set your oven to 325°F (165°C). Generously grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
️⃣ Mix dry ingredients: In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
️⃣ Cream butter & sugar: In a separate large bowl, use a mixer to beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
️⃣ Add wet ingredients: Mix in the egg and vanilla extract, then beat in the pumpkin purée until fully combined.
️⃣ Combine dry & wet: Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
️⃣ Fold in chocolate chips: Gently stir in the chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
️⃣ Bake: Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes, or until the edges start to pull away from the pan and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
️⃣ Cool & serve: Let the bars cool completely before cutting into squares. Enjoy!
