  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup shredded or grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.

2️⃣ Prepare the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts in the baking dish, arranging them in a single layer. In a small bowl, mix together the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Sprinkle this seasoning blend evenly over the chicken.

3️⃣ Add Provolone Cheese: Lay two slices of provolone cheese on top of each chicken breast to cover it.

4️⃣ Prepare the Creamy Topping: In a separate bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sour cream, and Parmesan cheese until well combined. Spread this mixture evenly over the chicken breasts, covering the cheese.

5️⃣ Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the chicken is fully cooked and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). The topping should be golden brown and bubbly.

6️⃣ Serve: Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
