  • Author: Sophia
  • Total Time: 20 minutes

Description

Fluffy and golden, these old-fashioned pancakes are the perfect way to start your morning. With a classic, simple recipe, they’re quick to whip up and delightfully satisfying.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ¼ cups Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • 3 tbsp Butter, melted
  • 1 ½ cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 3 ½ tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tbsp White Sugar
  • ¼ tsp Salt (adjust to taste)

Instructions

1️⃣ Mix the dry ingredients:

In a large bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.

2️⃣ Combine wet ingredients:

Create a well in the center of the dry ingredients. Add the milk, melted butter, and egg into the well. Whisk until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.

3️⃣ Preheat the griddle or pan:

Heat a lightly greased griddle or skillet over medium-high heat.

4️⃣ Cook the pancakes:

Pour about ¼ cup of batter onto the griddle for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look dry, approximately 2-3 minutes.

Flip the pancake and cook the other side until golden brown, another 2 minutes.

5️⃣ Serve:

Serve warm with your favorite toppings like syrup, butter, fresh fruits, or whipped cream.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a dash of vanilla extract or a pinch of cinnamon to the batter.
  • Make sure the griddle is fully heated before pouring the batter for evenly cooked pancakes.
  • Keep cooked pancakes warm in a low oven (200°F/95°C) while you finish cooking the rest.
