Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup water
- 3 tsp brown sugar
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp mustard
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 12 oz biscuits (store-bought, cut into quarters)
Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
2️⃣ Cook Ground Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
3️⃣ Make the Sloppy Joe Mixture: Add ketchup, water, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt to the skillet with the beef. Stir well and simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
4️⃣ Mix in Biscuits: Remove the skillet from the heat and transfer the meat mixture to a medium bowl. Gently toss the biscuit quarters with the meat mixture until evenly coated.
5️⃣ Assemble the Casserole: Spread the biscuit and meat mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
6️⃣ Bake: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 28-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted.
7️⃣ Serve: Let the casserole cool slightly before serving. Enjoy this cozy dish on its own or with a side salad for a complete meal!
