Ingredients

Scale

Meatballs & Sauce:

  • 2 pounds frozen meatballs (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (hickory, honey, or spicy)
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

Seasonings:

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Extras:

  • 1 can (20 oz) pineapple chunks, drained
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Sauce:

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, pineapple juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).

2️⃣ Assemble the Slow Cooker:

Place the frozen meatballs into the slow cooker.

Pour the prepared sauce over the meatballs, ensuring they are well coated.

Add the drained pineapple chunks on top and gently stir to combine.

3️⃣ Cook the Meatballs:

Cover the slow cooker and set it to low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours.

Stir occasionally to ensure the meatballs are evenly coated in the sauce.

4️⃣ Serve:

Once the meatballs are heated through and the sauce has thickened, transfer them to a serving dish.

Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

  • To make this dish a complete meal, serve the meatballs over steamed rice or with roasted vegetables.
  • For a spicier kick, add extra red pepper flakes or a splash of hot sauce to the sauce mixture.
