Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces of pasta noodles (your choice)
  • 1 cup of Alfredo sauce
  • 1 cup of cooked and diced chicken
  • 4 slices of turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese (or fiesta blend)
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon of ranch seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the pasta noodles according to the package instructions, but only cook them until they are halfway done. Drain and set aside.
  3. While the pasta is cooking, season the diced chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, and ranch seasoning. Place the seasoned chicken on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until cooked through.
  4. In a baking dish, spread a layer of Alfredo sauce evenly on the bottom.
  5. Add the halfway cooked pasta noodles on top of the Alfredo sauce layer.
  6. Arrange the cooked chicken pieces over the noodles.
  7. Pour the remaining Alfredo sauce over the chicken, spreading it evenly.
  8. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the Alfredo sauce.
  9. Scatter the crumbled bacon over the cheese layer.
  10. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  11. Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
  12. Garnish with additional ranch seasoning, if desired, and enjoy your delicious Cheddar Bacon Ranch Chicken Alfredo Pasta!

Notes

  • Type of Chicken: You can use either boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs. Thighs tend to be juicier, while breasts are leaner. Shredded rotisserie chicken can also be a time-saver.
  • Turkey Bacon: Turkey bacon offers a healthier alternative to regular bacon, providing a smoky, crispy texture. Cook it until crispy to add a satisfying crunch to the creamy dish.
  • Cheddar Cheese: Sharp cheddar is recommended for its bold flavor, but medium or mild can also work if you prefer a more subtle taste. Freshly grated cheddar melts more smoothly than pre-shredded cheese.
  • Alfredo Sauce: For the best results, make the Alfredo sauce from scratch using heavy cream, butter, garlic, and freshly grated Parmesan. If you’re short on time, store-bought Alfredo sauce is a quick and easy substitute.
  • Pasta: Penne, rotini, or fettuccine are ideal choices. Penne and rotini have ridges that hold onto the sauce, while fettuccine offers a more classic Alfredo experience. Be sure to cook the pasta to al dente to avoid sogginess.
  • Ranch Flavor: Ranch seasoning adds a tangy, herbal note to the dish. You can adjust the amount to suit your taste, ensuring the flavor enhances but doesn’t overpower the other elements.
  • Customizations:
    • Vegetarian Option: Replace the chicken with sautéed mushrooms or tofu, and use vegetarian ranch seasoning.
    • Spicy Kick: Add sliced jalapeños or red pepper flakes for a spicy twist.
    • Baked Version: After assembling the dish, transfer it to a baking dish, top with extra cheddar and breadcrumbs, and bake until bubbly and golden.
  • Storage and Reheating: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat over low heat with a splash of milk or cream to prevent the Alfredo sauce from drying out.
