Easy Garlic Cheese Bombs

  • Author: Munil

Description

Garlic cheese bombs are a delightful and easy-to-make snack, appetizer, or side dish. These soft, pillowy dough balls are stuffed with gooey mozzarella cheese and brushed with rich garlic butter, then baked until golden brown. The combination of melted cheese and savory garlic butter creates a mouthwatering treat that’s perfect for parties, family dinners, or any time you want a cheesy, garlicky indulgence. Whether served with marinara sauce for dipping or alongside pasta, salads, or grilled meats, garlic cheese bombs are sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 frozen Texas Rolls (thawed, Rhodes brand preferred)
  • 4 sticks mozzarella cheese (cut into 16 pieces)
  • 4 tablespoons salted butter (melted)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon parsley flakes (freshly chopped or dried)

Instructions

  1. Begin by thawing the frozen dough. Place 8 rolls on a plate, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. They should double in size.
  2. Cut the mozzarella sticks into approximately 1″ pieces.
  3. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Flatten each dough ball into a disk using your hands. Place two pieces of cheese in the center of each disk.
  5. Pinch the dough edges tightly to encase the cheese fully and place them seam side down on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with all rolls.
  6. Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until they start to turn golden brown.
  7. While baking, melt the butter in a microwave-safe dish or over low heat in a saucepan. Stir in the minced garlic and parsley flakes once melted.
  8. Remove the rolls from the oven and brush each with the garlic butter mixture.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving to enjoy the cheesy goodness!

Notes

  • Cheese Options: While mozzarella is the traditional choice, you can experiment with different cheeses like cheddar, Monterey Jack, or even cream cheese for a richer texture.
  • Dough Choices: Store-bought biscuit dough is the easiest and quickest option, but crescent roll or pizza dough can offer different textures. For a healthier alternative, consider using whole wheat dough.
  • Sealing the Dough: Be sure to pinch the dough tightly around the cheese to prevent leakage. Chilling the formed bombs before baking can help set the seal.
  • Customizations: Add herbs like rosemary or parsley for extra flavor, or sprinkle Parmesan on top for a cheesy crust. You can also incorporate add-ins like jalapeños, bacon, or pepperoni for variety.
