Description
This delicious Shrimp and Broccoli Fettuccine Alfredo is a creamy, rich pasta dish that combines tender shrimp, crisp broccoli, and a luscious Alfredo sauce. It’s perfect for a quick yet elegant dinner!
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Pasta:
- Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2️⃣ Cook the Shrimp:
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
3️⃣ Add the Broccoli:
- In the same skillet, add the broccoli florets. Sauté for 3-4 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender but still crisp.
4️⃣ Create the Alfredo Sauce:
- Lower the heat to medium-low, pour in the heavy cream, and gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese. Stir constantly until the sauce thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
5️⃣ Combine and Serve:
- Add the cooked fettuccine, shrimp, and broccoli to the skillet. Toss everything together until well-coated with the Alfredo sauce.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste, then serve the dish warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce for a slight kick.
- If the sauce becomes too thick, thin it out with a splash of pasta water or extra cream.
- You can substitute the shrimp with chicken or leave it out for a vegetarian version of the dish.
