Ingredients

  • 2-3 pound beef roast
  • steak seasoning
  • 1 onion
  • 1/2 cup Arby’s sauce
  • 1/4-1/2 cups beef broth
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 16 ounces cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • onion buns

Method

  1. Take a 2-3 pound beef roast and season well with steak seasoning. Sear in a hot pan with a little oil.
  2. Chop one onion and add it to your crockpot along with your roast.
  3. To your crockpot also add 1/2 cup of Arby’s sauce, 1/4-1/2 cups of beef broth and 3 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce. Let cook in the crockpot on high for 5 hours or low for around 8 hours.
  4. Once the meat is tender, shred it with forks. Also take out any fat while doing this.
For the cheese sauce, shred 16 ounces of cheddar cheese and melt that with 1 cup of heavy cream on the stove. This doesn’t take long; just add in a little cheese at a time and keep stirring. You can also season here; I just added some pepper. I made a lot of cheese because we had cheese fries with this. If just doing the sandwiches, cut the cheese sauce recipe in half.
  1. Add that shredded meat to some toasted onion buns and top with your meat and cheese.
